Description

The IAG Oil Control Baffle and Windage Tray System is engineered to prevent oil starvation and limit blow-by in high-performance Subaru EJ engines. Designed for high-RPM and high-g-force conditions, this system ensures a consistent oil supply to the pump by directing oil away from the crankcase and back into the oil pan. Viton one-way flapper valves in the baffle, combined with louvers in the windage tray, prevent oil from splashing back into the upper crankcase, maintaining optimal lubrication under extreme driving conditions.

This integrated two-piece system is compatible with IAG oil pickups as well as many OEM and aftermarket pickups, allowing for flexible installation. The baffle is designed to fit neatly within the crankcase, permitting standard installation of OEM oil pans and many aftermarket options without modification.

Effective oil control is essential in Subaru EJ engines, and becomes even more critical when the engine is modified for higher power output. By keeping oil in the pan and ensuring the pickup always has access to a steady supply of oil, the system prevents starvation, reduces engine wear, and improves reliability during aggressive driving.

Constructed from stainless steel, the IAG Oil Control Baffle features precision clearance around its edges, allowing excess oil that may pool during cornering to flow back into the oil pan. Unlike traditional baffles that sit sandwiched between the engine block and oil pan, this design eliminates extra sealing surfaces, minimizing potential leak points. Cutouts in the baffle and windage tray accommodate the IAG oil pickup, OEM pickups, and many popular aftermarket options, making installation straightforward while maximizing oil control efficiency.
