Description
Upgrade your FA20DIT-powered WRX with the GrimmSpeed Top Mount Intercooler Kit—built to outperform the undersized plastic OEM unit in every way. Featuring cast aluminum end tanks, a high-flow bar-and-plate core, and precision TIG-welded construction, this intercooler is engineered to keep charge temps stable even under increased boost and aggressive driving. Lower temps mean reduced knock, improved reliability, and consistent power.

Precision Construction
Each intercooler uses two unique, Minnesota-made cast end tanks—one feeding hot air into the core, and one delivering cooled air to the throttle body. After inspection, they’re TIG welded to a high-density bar-and-plate core, pressure tested, and sealed. The included 5-ply silicone couplers maintain shape under extreme temperatures, and the powdercoated aluminum splitter mounts cleanly using stainless hardware.
Performance Tested
In back-to-back comparisons with the OEM WRX TMIC and a top competitor, GrimmSpeed’s TMIC showed superior cooling efficiency, lower temperature deltas, and reduced pressure drop—resulting in more consistent power delivery under real-world driving.
