Description

This is the Radium Engineering PCV Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit. Catch can kits are essential to Subaru platforms to protect the engine from elevated levels of crankcase blow-by accumulated from aggressive driving. Excessive oil-saturated air circulating back into the air intake stream can lead to degraded performance. The Radium Engineering catch can kit features large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, a 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.

Radium Engineering PCV-Side Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit

SPECS:

  • Designed to fit on the right-side of the engine bay
  • PCV-side fluid lock type
  • Less oil consumption effectively raises the octane levels
  • Cleaner air increases engine performance
  • Prevents sludge buildup in the intake
  • Lowers hydrocarbon emissions
  • Capacity: 7 fluid ounces
  • Height Without Fittings: 5 inches
  • Outside Diameter: 2.45 inches

PLATFORM SPECIFICS:

  • Strategically located for compatibility with right-hand drive and left-hand drive vehicles
  • Some brake line clearances are necessary for RHD installation
  • These kits are also compatible with aftermarket forced induction kits
  • For mounting, the kits use factory bosses and holes in the vehicle so no cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications are needed to the vehicle
  • This kit does not vent into the atmosphere making this kit emissions and track legal
  • Closed loop systems route clean filtered air back in through the engine to be burned and to promote negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance
  • Closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors into the cabin
  • This catch can kit runs in line with the 3/8″ PCV valve
  • When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV “check” valve closes to experience no flow
  • The PCV hose will experience “metered” vacuum when the engine is idling, steady-state cruising, and decelerating
